A BBC reporter has been expelled from North Korea over his "offensive reporting".
Rupert Wingfield-Hayes was interrogated for eight hours and forced to sign an apology to the North Korean people, ITV News understands.
ITV News' China Correspondent Debi Edward, who is currently in North Korea, tweeted:
The North Korean government is said to have been unhappy about the language used by Wingfield-Hayes and articles posted on the BBC website.
