A man has been charged with murdering his brother in a row that allegedly began over a cheeseburger.

Benjamin Middendorf, 25, is said to have shot his older brother Nicholas, 28, because he was "bullying" him over the fast food.

Middendorf called 911 shortly after the incident and said: "We were in a fight and I grabbed a gun and shot him. Oh my God," according to police.

Police said Middendorf's mother also spoke to them and said: "My son just shot my son."

A spokesperson from St.Cloud Police Department in Florida told Central Florida News 13 : "This was an impulsive incident that happened.

"But it was definitely a verbal dispute that sadly, it was over a cheeseburger."

Middendorf is being held at Osceola County Jail after being arrested on charges of premeditated first-degree murder.
