A caravan in a tree? Scotland's strangest holiday hideaways
Enterprising Scots have turned almost everything into a tourist spot.
Holidays aren't always the unbridled explosions of fun and exotic excitement they are made out to be.
We have all been on at least one "holiday" to forget. The perfect storm of long journeys, dead-end resorts full of crying children, fighting families and cringeworthy karaoke contests.
So how can we avoid these joyless jaunts to tourist traps? Well one way is to stay somewhere so utterly bizarre that no one else would possibly think it would be a suitable place to take a holiday.

Tree Howf is the by far the best on this list for those who want to life the high life for a week or two.
The treehouse near Dunblane is set up for stargazers and wildlife watchers, but doesn't open until May.
A pretty quirky place to stay, and worthy of a place on this list. Unfortunately, there's also...
For some, staying onboard a boat, or in a train carriage or shipping crate just isn't enough of a departure from the norm.
STV News has you covered though, because we've found the perfect weird holiday home. It's a caravan. In a tree.
Advertised on Air Bnb for a extremely reasonable £17 per night it is located in a place far beyond the middle of nowhere (near Aberdeenshire village Rhynie).
But what it lacks in running water, and health and safety certificates it more than makes up with charming idiosyncrasy.
