A teenager who has been missing for more than three days was seen on CCTV at Glasgow Central Station, police have said.

Chloe Campbell, 14, was seen at the station at 12.15am in the early hours of Friday, leaving via the Gordon Street exit and turning right into the city centre.

Friends of Chloe, who is from Kilbirnie in Ayrshire, had previously reported seeing her at 10.15pm on Thursday.

Police have urged anyone who may have seen Chloe in the city centre to come forward, saying people who were on a night out may have seen her on Gordon Street.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and are still trying to piece together her movements via CCTV.

Chief inspector Brian Shaw said: "Chloe has many friends in Glasgow and regularly heads into the city to meet up with them. We are in the process of speaking to her friends in an effort to gain more information.

"She also has family members in Glasgow, however they have had no contact with her. At this time, we don't know if she remained in Glasgow or travelled elsewhere and we are liaising with officers in other divisions.

"Although Chloe has gone missing before, she has never been away or not been in touch for this length of time and we are concerned.

"Chloe does not appear to have a mobile with her and may not have any money, we just want to know she is safe and well. If anyone has any information or thinks they may have seen Chloe, please contact us."

Chloe is described as being 5ft 4in tall, of stocky build and has collar-length black hair.

When last seen, she was wearing dark grey leggings, a light grey hooded top and trainers.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact officers at Irvine police office on 101.
