Body found in River Tay close to where missing man last seen
Police were called out to Riverside Drive after a member of the public found the body in the river.
A body has been recovered from the River Tay close to where a missing man was last seen.
Police were called out to Riverside Drive at 8pm on Tuesday evening after a member of the public found the body in the river.
The family of missing man Taylor Frazer, 27, have been made aware of the discovery, although a formal identification has yet to take place.
Mr Frazer went missing in the early hours of Sunday morning and was last seen on Riverside Drive close to Tesco.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that a body was recovered from the River Tay.
"We received a report from a member of the public that there was a body in the river.
"We went down and carried out an operation at 8pm alongside the Coastguard and ambulance service and a body was recovered.
"Riverside Drive was closed for a short period of time."
