There's super size - but how about bottomless fries?

McDonalds is going to offer just that at a new restaurant which it describes as the future of the fast-food chain.

Visitors will also be able to create their own customised burgers in a nod to the 'secret menu' trend popularised by rival In-N-Out Burger.

And they can even have it all brought to them with a new table service feature.

The fast-food giant is introducing the features in a new restaurant in St. Joe, Missouri, in the US.

It has described the concept outlet, which is due to open in July, as the 'McDonalds of the future'.

Health campaigners are sure to be horrified at the potential for over-eating.

But no doubt there's also plenty of fans thrilled at the thought of a fries carton that never comes to an end.
