Helicopters have been out overnight as police search for two missing people in Dundee.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency was out in the early hours to help locate missing Kerry Jones, 26 and Taylor Frazer, 27.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the pair but there is no connection between the disappearances of the two Dundonians.

Ms Jones was last seen in South Road at around 10.45pm on Sunday night.

She is described as five feet five inches, of slim build with long brown hair and was last seen wearing a brown coat and blue jeans.

Ms Jones is from the Charleston area of Dundee.

In a separate incident police say there are 'significant concerns' for Mr Frazer who was last seen at the city' Riverside Drive Tesco at 4.40am on Sunday.

He is described as having brown hair and a beard and was wearing a dark coloured, possibly navy blue jacket, denim blue coloured jeans and beige/light coloured shoes. He is known to frequent Dundee city centre and may use public transport.

A spokesman for Police Scotland's Tayside Division said helicopters were out assisting the search for both missing people and officers are continuing a land-based search.

He said: "There are significant concerns for his welfare and anyone who knows Taylor or has seen a man matching his description is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer."
