Public urged to protect homes as 13 charged in Dundee
Police say all of the arrests involved break-ins to properties and associated crimes.
A spate of break-ins has resulted in 13 people being arrested and charged in Dundee.
Police have reported all the charges were brought this month in connection with break-ins to property and associated crimes.
Officers are now urging residents to continue to report suspicious activity and ensure their homes are secure.
Chief Inspector Ian Scott, community policing, Dundee said: "As part of Operation RAC, officers are working hard to reduce the number of housebreaking offences in Tayside and we will continue to target offenders who commit these crimes. "We will act on any information that you provide about suspicious activity and I want to thank everyone that has called in so far. Those that have been charged this month have all been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"Remember to keep your home and property safe. You might not think it will happen to you, but thieves will take any opportunity to steal property - reduce their chances of success by making sure you keep your home and property secure.
"If you are leave your home unoccupied, lock doors and windows and if you have them, set alarms and use light timer switches. "Consider fitting external security lighting and make sure all garden tools and ladders are locked away when not in use. Make a note of all makes, models and serial numbers of your valuable property."
