Dutch drugs haul worth £35,000 seized in Stirlingshire
Officers in Forth Valley recover more than 1kg of ecstasy from property in Denny.
A huge haul of ecstasy from the Netherlands has been seized in a small town in Stirlingshire.
Forth Valley officers raided an address in Denny on Friday morning and found a package containing 990g of ecstasy worth £29,700. Further ecstasy tablets worth £4,840 were also recovered at the property.
The seizure was a joint operation between the Border Force and National Crime Agency.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged and appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Detective sergeant Forbes Wilson, of Stirling Police Station, said: "This was an excellent piece of proactive work and shows how effective multi-agency work can be.
"It's always satisfying to get drugs off our streets, particularly when it's a high quantity.
