Bride discovered husband was a paedophile on honeymoon
Jazmin Cullen said her world "came crashing down" when she discovered the truth.
A bride discovered her new husband was a paedophile - on their honeymoon.
Jazmin Cullen married Jason Cullen within months after meeting him in a pub.
But on their honeymoon in Brighton a week later she found out the truth about him after he was caught downloading sick images on a laptop.
When she called police, she discovered he had served time in prison for possessing 8,000 child abuse images, including some of the worst possible.
He had also exchanged images of children as young as two with other paedophiles.
Ms Cullen said: "My world came crashing down. Jason had been using the laptop a bit but I didn't think anything of it.
"To be quite honest I didn't know how to feel. I was absolutely disgusted. I was just speechless."
Cullen was hauled back to court and given a community order and told to pay £85 costs.
Five years on, Ms Cullen is still trying to divorce him, but her husband, whose real name is Jason Hudson, is refusing to cooperate.
Jazmin, from Carshalton in Surrey, said: "He seemed like such a normal and charming man, and still to this day I find it very hard to believe it is the same person.
"I wanted to believe it was all a mistake. At no point did I ever support his actions, but I wanted to believe that it was not true."
The 24-year-old is now desperate to change her name and says every time she gets a letter it is distressing.
"In many ways I have been able to put it in my past but being married to him is a constant reminder.
"Divorcing him will be the final step in moving on, but so far he has denied me that."
Couples must be married for a least a year before either side can apply for a divorce.
If you've lived apart for two years and both parties agree, the divorce can be granted.
But if one partner refuses, a divorce can usually be granted after a couple have lived apart for five years, whether they agree to it or not.
