Body found in house where murdered woman was buried
The woman's body was discovered at the home on Kintail Court in Inverness.
A body has been found in a house where a murdered woman was buried a decade ago.
The woman's remains were discovered at the home on Kintail Court in Inverness on Thursday afternoon.
Her death is being treated as unexplained and forensics teams are carrying out enquiries with police.
Brian Grant was sentenced to life in prison for the 2006 murder of hairdresser Ilene O'Connor.
The 39-year-old's body was found buried in the back garden of his Kintail Court home ten days after the killing.
Police said Ms O'Connor had considered Grant a friend, despite having 23 convictions for violence and serving two previous jail sentences for assaults.
Grant claimed Ms O'Connor had turned up at his house after she had been beaten up by her ex-boyfriend. In reality, it was Grant who had attacked her and pathologists said the severity of the injuries she had suffered meant she could not have moved.
