A woman had admitting snatching a nine-week-old baby from his home in February - sparking a frantic hunt and national appeal before he was eventually found 'safe and well' a few hours later.

Kelly Mahon, 41, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with unlawfully abducting the baby either by force or fraud from an address in Telford in Shropshire on February 24.

She pleaded guilty at Shrewsbury Crown Court and will be sentenced in May.

During a court hearing shortly after Mahon had been arrested, a prosecutor said the kidnap was "pre-planned", and police had found several child-related items after a search of Mahon's home.

Mahon was remanded back into custody and will be sentenced on May 12.
