A serious collision involving two vehicles near Inverness has forced the closure of the road, police said.

Emergency services were at the scene late on Thursday evening following the crash on the B9006 near Inverness.

A police spokeswoman said: "The road is closed whilst enquiries into the incident continue.

"The road is expected to remain closed for a significant period of time and local diversions are in place."
