Mobility scooter rider takes wrong turn and ends up on 70mph road

A 92-year-old man on a mobility scooter had to be rescued by police after taking a wrong turn and ending up on a dual carriageway.
The pensioner was spotted by a passing motorist on the 70mph-limit road near Crawley, West Sussex and was found to be in a "very confused" state.
The motorist pulled over to help the man who was eventually rescued by local police after the alarm was raised at midday.
The unnamed OAP is now recovering from his ordeal at home.
