A man who was reported as missing after crashing his car in the early hours of Sunday has been found.

Police confirmed 43-year-old Amar Sharif was traced safe and well following the collision in north east Fife at around 3.30am on Sunday.

The crash happened after Mr Sharif's Hyundai came off the A92 near the Five Roads roundabout.

He was last seen walking north towards Wormit in Fife.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Fife can confirm that Amar Sharif, missing since a road traffic collision in north east Fife on March 6, has been traced safe and well.

"Officers wish to thank the public for their assistance in tracing Amar."
