Pair of joyriders steal fire engine, crash it into house
Two men are being held after a fire engine was stolen from a station and crashed into a house.
Two men are being held by police after a fire engine was stolen from a station, taken on a joyride and then crashed into the front of a house.
The engine was taken from a station in Larne, Co Antrim, in the early hours of Saturday morning and driven around the area where it crashed into several cars and houses before coming to a halt lodged in the front garden of someone's home.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service confirmed "this fire engine was driven into a number of cars and houses in the Larne area."
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said two men were arrested on Saturday and are currently being questioned in custody.
