In the first episode of Thursday’s Emmerdale double bill, Rakesh lands himself in hot water with his bride-to-be.

The businessman’s debts finally catch up to him - and Priya finds out! As he confides in Jimmy he’s got a new person to help with his cash problems, Rishi and Priya are bewildered when the building site manager turns up saying Rakesh owes him money.

Jimmy drops him in it and she heads off to find him at Home Farm - arriving just in time to see him hugging Chrissie thanking her for lending him money for the caterers!

Also in the first episode, after all the strange going-ons lately, Finn thinks Val is haunting the B&B. He hears music playing and goes to turn it off - and gets a huge shock!

Also, Rhona finally tells Pearl about Paddy’s affair (not mentioning who it was with) and is glad to make up and be friends again.

In the second episode at 8pm, Priya is deeply insulted that Rakesh has lied to her.

She confronts him about his lies, and he finally comes clean about his money troubles. Priya’s upset and storms off - can he turn it around in time for the wedding?

He finds her and tries to explain, and she admits she doesn’t need an expensive wedding. She’s left with a decision to make - and as everyone waiting at the pub wonders where they are, they are all shocked when the couple arrive...

Elsewhere, Moira is desperate trying to get rid of the stolen car, and enlists Ross to help. The village bad boy is more than happy to have a 50% cut of the profits Moira offers - is it a good idea?

Plus Megan admits to Vanessa that she feels like she’s grieving for the healthy baby she expected and says she feels like she’s lost a child again. The nurse hands over the baby for the first time and she says she wants to call her Eliza.
