Petrol prices fall again for eighth consecutive month
At the end of February, the average price per litre fell to 101.9p.
Motorists have benefited from eight consecutive months of falling petrol prices, official data shows.
In July last year, the average price of a litre of petrol was 117p a litre - but by the end of February, that had fallen to 101.9p.
The drop amounts to a £8.25 saving on filling up an average 55-litre family car, RAC Fuel Watch said.
Meanwhile, diesel rose by an average of 1p a litre last month, up to 101.2p.
