A bearded dragon, tarantula and three corn snakes have been returned to an exotic pet shop after they were stolen in a raid.

The animals were taken during a break-in at Perth Pet Centre in St Catherine's Retail Park sometime between 4.30pm on Thursday and 11.30am on Friday.

Police confirmed they were found at a property in the city on Monday.

The animals are all now back with their owner, who said the spider and snakes were well cared for but the lizard was too cold when it was found. The animals suffered no serious injuries.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed a man has been charged in connection with the incident and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
