The impact of a planned closure of the rail tunnel at Glasgow's Queen Street station has been revealed by Scotrail.

Newly-published timetables show diversion routes that will be in place during the disruption.

The main tunnel serving the station will close for 20 weeks - from 20 March until 8 August - as part of a £60m upgrade project.

Every trip beginning or ending at the station will be affected as trains are diverted via low level or to Glasgow Central with longer journey times and reduced services on many routes.

Passengers travelling on ScotRail's main Edinburgh to Glasgow service have been told they can expect journey times of between 70 and 90 minutes.

The new timetables are available online as well as an interactive map that passengers can use to check the impact to their journeys.

The rail operator has also said printed timetables will be available in stations from the second week in March.
