There could be a new romance in Weatherfield soon, as Mary takes action to try to get Dev and Erica together in Coronation Street.

Sick of seeing the pair pussyfooting around each other, Mary tells Erica she should do something about her feelings.

So when Dev turns up with a new woman on his arm – Karen from the golf club – Liz and Mary decide to form a plan to scupper his evening, and give Erica a chance to swoop in.

Mary, who introduces herself as Dev’s nanny, does her utmost to put Karen off Dev, telling her she’s just the latest in a long line of women he’s romances.

Leaving horrified, at that moment Erica arrives, dressed to the nines, and plants a kiss on Dev’s lips. How will he react?
