A man who died in an industrial accident has been named by police.

Mark Burry, 49, from Carnoustie in Angus was fatally injured while working for oil and gas engineering firm Rigmar in Dundee on Friday.

The incident happened at its base on Prince Charles Wharf just off Stannergate Road.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a man who suffered fatal injuries following an incident within an industrial premises in the Stannergate Road area of Dundee at around 1.30pm on February 12 has now been formally identified.

"He has been named as 49-year-old Mark Burry from Carnoustie. As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."

The Health and Safety Executive has launched an investigation.
