Leopard that mauled six people at India school escapes again
Reports suggest the animal may have escaped when attendants opened the cage to feed him.
A leopard who was responsible for the mauling six people at a school in Bangalore has escaped from its enclosure for a second time.
According to officials the male cat, who caused multiple injuries after wandering into a school during his first escape on February 7, made a successful second break for freedom from a cage at the Bannerghatta National Park on Sunday.
Last time he went missing it took more than 12 hours to recapture him.
Reports suggest the eight-year-old animal may have escaped when attendants opened the cage to feed him.
Although the leopard has previously injured humans officials said there was no cause for public alarm.
