A mother who died in a house fire in January has been named by police.
Jane Reilly was described as a "devoted mother who will be dearly missed" in a statement released through Police Scotland.
An investigation is under way into the blaze, which destroyed the house in Stirling Street, Denny, Stirlingshire, on Saturday, January 30. Ms Reilly's death is being treated as unexplained.
The semi-detached house was left a burnt-out wreck following the blaze, which firefighters described as "intense".
In the statement, the 53-year-old's family said: "Jane was a devoted mother who will be dearly missed. Her sudden death has left us devastated and our hearts are breaking as we try to come to terms with what has happened.
"We thank everyone who has passed on their condolences but we now ask for peace to grieve at this extremely difficult time."
Police said they are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.
Detective inspector Jim Thomson, from Falkirk police station, said: "First and foremost my thoughts go out to the family of Jane Reilly. At this very sad time and we will continue to offer support to them as and when it is required.
"We are treating Jane’s death as unexplained at this time, however, our investigation is very much ongoing as we work towards establishing the full set of circumstances. I again urge anyone who has information that might assist with this effort to please contact police if not already done so."
