Twitter announces changes to timeline to put 'best' tweets first
Twitter will analyse your activity to predict what tweets you would like to see first.
Twitter has announced changes to its timeline which will mean you see the "most important" tweets first.
The new feature will mean you see tweets that you're likely to care about most at the top of your feed, followed by the normal timeline of chronologically ordered tweets.
You will be able to refresh your feed to see all new tweets in the "live, up-to-the-second experience that you already know and love", Twitter said.
Twitter will analyse your activity to predict what tweets you would like to see first.
Twitter say they introducing the new feature as they have had feedback from users who say they feel like they miss important tweets from people they follow when they are away from the platform.
You can expect to see between five and 60 "top tweets", depending on how many accounts you follow and how often you check Twitter.
Users will be able to opt out of the feature by adjusting their settings.
