A RSPCA inspector has gone missing following a call-out near Penzance.
Inspector Mike Reid went to help a flock of gannets stranded on rocks at Porthchapel Beach at 2pm on Sunday.
The 54-year-old from Redruth is described as 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build with short greying spiked hair.
He was wearing black trousers, a white shirt and black jumper when he went to rescue the birds.
Devon and Cornwall police, the Coastguard and the RSPCA are working together to find him.
