Trio jailed after murder of 14-year-old boy over love rivalry
Jordan Watson was found dead at a Carlisle cemetery after a 'brutal and sustained attack' attack.
Three men have been jailed for killing a 14-year-old boy over a love rivalry.
Jordan Watson was found dead in Upperby Cemetery in Carlisle following a "brutal and sustained attack" by George Thompson, 19, Brahnn Finley, 19, and Daniel Johnston, 20.
The court heard Thomson, of Upperby Road, Carlisle had an "obsessive desire" for Jordan's 14-year-old girlfriend. He was jailed for life with a minimum of 27 years for the murder.

His co-defendant Finley, of Furze Street in the city, was also jailed for life with a minimum of 14 years after a jury unanimously convicted him of murder.
Johnston, of Petteril Bank Road, also in Carlisle, was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to ten years in prison after being cleared of murder.
The trio had posed for a series of selfies just hours before the attack, taken in Thomson's bedroom.
Thomson was then said to have lured the slightly-built, 4ft11in schoolboy to the cemetery later in the evening, having told him of an "almost certainly fictional" deal to sell some weapons to a man.
The court heard that Jordan had looked up to Thomson, who had befriended him and encouraged the young man to visit him at home, where he showed off a large collection of weapons that were later recovered by police.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Slattery, senior investigating officer in the case, said: "He told him exciting stories about his money-making schemes and promised him money in return for helping him with his illicit business. Jordan would have been excited about the prospect of earning what would have been to him huge sums of money.
"But George wasn't Jordan's friend; he had an obsession with his 14-year-old girlfriend and would stop at nothing to have her for himself. George's friendship with Jordan was a sham but Jordan trusted George and felt comfortable with him, alone, at night in a secluded place."
Among the items found at Thomson's home were an "unusually large" quantity of knives and other weaponry, includsing a machete, a cleaver, a stun gun, a replica rifle and a block of knifes alongside his bed, Carlisle Crown Court heard.
Speaking to ITV Border, friends and family described Watson as a "kind and caring lad" who always stuck with his friends and family.
"He was jolly... and he always had a smile on his face," brother Josh Watson said, while cousin Carl Gill said with a smile: "He was a handful."
"He was a good lad - happy all the time, and cheeky. I'll give him that," Gill added.
Jordan's friends Matt and Chelsea Jackson said they used to go on bike rides with the young man.
Speaking after the sentencing, Jordan's parents Mike and Lisa Watson said the past seven months had been a "living nightmare", adding: "Only now can we truly take the first steps in getting our lives back on track."
