Vera episode two preview: murder leads to fear at the funfair
Vera investigates the murder of a local lad who's been sleeping rough and working for the funfair - who had motive to harm him?
We’re loving having Vera back on our screens - even if it does usually mean death for the characters around her!
This week she investigated the death of a local lad whose body is found wrapped in plastic sheets at a rural teenage hangout.
With cause of death quickly identified as a slow to the head, but no sign of a murder weapon, Vera is left with little to go on but a crucifix found on the body and ticket stubs for Pevensey’s funfair.
Owner of the fair Bobby Pevensey and his wife Morven reveal that the victim, Jamie, worked for them and lived with fellow employee Harris in a caravan onsite.
She also discovers he lived with a local Vicar and his wife after they found him sleeping rough - which begs the question, why was Jamie on the streets when his seemingly happy mother and her husband live only a few miles away?
With forensic evidence implicating surprise suspects and conflicting alibis muddying the waters - will Vera and her team find the hidden story behind this kindly young man?
Tune in from 8pm on Sunday February 7 on STV to find out!
