Police have issued an urgent appeal to trace a woman who has gone missing from Kirkcaldy.

Karen Struthers, 41, was last seen at around 10am on Wednesday at an address on East Albert Road.

Officers said they were growing "increasingly concerned" for Ms Struthers, who does not have her daily medication with her.

Karen is 5ft 7in, with a slim build and shoulder-length black hair, and regularly wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a dark grey floral knee-length dress with short sleeves, black tights, black knee-length leather boots and a black ski jacket.

Sergeant Iain Geddes, of Kirkcaldy, said: “Karen is not currently in possession of medication that she takes daily and we’re growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

"At this time, we believe that Karen may have travelled to the train station shortly after she was last seen with the intention of heading to the King's Cross area of London.

"Our inquiries are ongoing in the area with local and specialist resources, and further afield with our partners, to trace Karen."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
