A "bus stop cat" who had to be put down, has captured the hearts of passengers so much that they are planning on having a memorial plaque made in her honour.

More than £3,000 has been raised for a plaque to remember Missy after her owner was left with no choice but to put her down after finding her with severe injuries which included a fractured skull and broken jaw.

Missy, who was a regular fixture on the number 39 bus stop bench in Dunsbury Way, Havant, is believed to have either been in a road accident or possibly the victim of an attack.

Money for 13-year-old Missy's memorial plaque is now being raised on a JustGiving page set up by Craig Cockram who described the feline as "the most trusting cat".
