A man reached into a car and grabbed the female driver's face during a road rage incident.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after the attacker, who was driving a dark BMW, tailgated the victim before approaching her on foot at a set of temporary traffic lights.

An argument broke out between the pair before the man grabbed the woman through the driver's window.

The incident happened on the A91 Blairlogie to Manor Powis road in Stirlingshire at around 8.30am on Thursday. The victim was driving a black Jeep.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "During the argument the male suspect was particularly angry and agitated, and assaulted the female by leaning in the vehicle window and grabbing her to the face.

"If you were in the area at the time of this incident or can identify the driver involved please call 101 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
