Farmer dies after tractor he was driving crashes in Perthshire
The 64-year-old farmer was pronounced dead at the scene of the one-vehicle crash in Rait.
A farmer has died after the tractor he was driving was involved in a crash in Perthshire.
The incident happened at around 1.20pm on Wednesday at Rait, near the Inchmichael junction of the A90.
Emergency services attended the crash but police confirmed the 64-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
A police spokeswoman said: "Tragically, the 64-year-old tractor driver was declared dead at the scene.
"Next of kin have been informed and his details will not be released until he has been formally identified.
"Crash investigation are also in attendance to carry out enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer."
