Customers have been told to return Sainsbury's own brand wholemeal bread to the supermarket after fragments of metal were found in loaves.
Sainsbury's is recalling its 45p Wholemeal Bread Medium Sliced and Thick Sliced because they may contain small pieces of metal, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has confirmed.
The retailer has removed the 800g loaves, with a "best before" date of 19 January, from shelves
No other products are known to have been affected.
