An 81-year-old woman who was missing for two days has been found safe and well, police said.

Mildred Black had left her home in Nelson Street, Largs on Thursday. She was then seen on Glasgow's Hope Street around 3.30pm that day.

The nest day, officers managed to contact Mildred on her mobile phone, when she stated she was safe and well but refused to say where she was. Police said she was in the Alexander Thomson Hotel in Argyle Street between 4pm and 5pm that day, but she did not book in.

On Sunday, police said Ms Black had been traced safe and well in Glasgow.
