Search for missing woman who vanished from home in Renfrewshire
Police appeal to find care worker Karen Hughes, 51, who has disappeared from her Erskine home.
Fears are growing for a woman who has disappeared from her home in Renfrewshire.
Karen Hughes was last seen by her family at her home in Erskine on Sunday January 2.
UPDATE: Ms Hughes has been found safe and well.
Police Scotland said the care worker is known to visit the Loch Lomond area regularly.
The 51-year-old is described as 5ft 6in in height and of slim build with collar length brown hair. It is not known what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.
Sergeant Edington, Johnstone Police Office, said: "Karen, who works at a local care home, has never been missing before and usually keeps in touch with her family but she has not contacted them since she was seen by family at her home on Sunday.
"Officers have been checking CCTV, social media and with family and friends, as well as places she frequents including Loch Lomond, in an effort to find Karen but so far there have been no further sightings of her. Both her family and police are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and well-being."
